Warren County Day Treatment provides community-based services to prevent delinquency among youth aged 12-18 within the Warren County Public School System. Partnering with the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice, Kentucky Educational Collaborative for State Agency Children Program, and Title 1 Sub Part D, the program serves around 30 students, offering both treatment and education.
For the past five years, Ms. Shelly Bell has supported students through the Career Scope and Mentoring Program, based on the Kentucky Career Clusters, which organizes instruction around 16 broad occupational categories. Ms. Bell has provided comprehensive training on individual branding, interviewing techniques, workshops, and career search strategies tailored to these clusters, including Agriculture, Arts, Business, Education, Health Services, IT, Law, Manufacturing, and more.
Ms. Bell’s high-quality workshops were engaging and met the specific needs of the students, consistently demonstrating her understanding of their requirements. The program emphasizes community involvement and family counseling, with students and stakeholders working together to set common goals. Ms. Bell stands out for her professionalism, dedication, knowledge, and the genuine connections she establishes with students. She volunteers her time and makes a two-hour commute to support the program.
Ms. Bell also served as the motivational speaker for the 2024 Annual Awards and Graduation Ceremony. Her professionalism and engagement ensure a positive learning environment, making her a valuable asset to any people or school-related project.
